Premier Auto Protect provides limited information on its website, so I wasn’t able to verify its specific eligibility requirements. However, vehicle service contracts tend to limit the age of the vehicle being covered as well as the mileage.

When I tried getting a quote, the oldest vehicle year available to select was 2004, so it seems that it will cover vehicles that are not older than 20 years old.

It also includes luxury and sports cars like Lamborghini and Aston Martin in its selection of car makes, so owners of these types of vehicles should be able to get coverage, which isn’t always the case with extended warranty programs.

Vehicle service programs also don’t usually cover cars with pre-existing issues, so if this is the case for you, you may be declined coverage. I recommend getting a quote and speaking with an agent for more information.

Pricing data for Premier Auto Protect is not readily available, but some customers have mentioned being quoted roughly $900 per year, with the option to pay monthly. It has an overall customer rating of 4.55 out of 5 on the BBB site out of 563 reviews, which is quite high.¹ The few recent negative reviews relate to denied claims, which is unsurprising for any warranty provider.

Looking at Trustpilot, Premier Auto Protect has more positive reviews, with an average rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars, based on 974 reviews.² 85 percent of reviews are 5-star reviews, while only 8 percent are 1-star reviews. While your experience may vary, these sources indicate that customers, on the whole, are satisfied with the service they receive from the company.

To file a claim with Premier Auto Protect, you simply need to take your car into your chosen repair shop and give them your  Premier Auto Protect information. The service professional will then contact Premier Auto Protect, and the company will pay for covered repairs right away by credit card over the phone.

You’ll need to pay your deductible if you have one, but the rest of any authorized repairs will be covered. You don’t need to fill out any paperwork, and there is no limit on the number of claims you can file. If the repair facility will not accept the vehicle service plan, which Premier Auto Protect states is rare, it will send you a reimbursement to cover the cost of repairs.
